I was fortunate enough to get to capture Emily proposing to Jess back in April. They are one the most in love couples I have ever met, and just seeing them look at each other makes my heart want to burst. So when Jess reached out to me wanting to surprise Emily with her proposal, I was stoked! We had to figure out how we could surprise Emily, so when they planned a Thursday date night to go take some photos at a new park with Em’s new film camera, we made the plan. 

I met Jess beforehand to collect all the goodies and set up a blanket with candles, champagne, and music playing their song at Cypress Bowl Pop Up Village in West Vancouver. When they arrived Emily walked right past the blanket and proceeded to take photos of the ocean in the distance, really leaving me and Jess in suspense. Finally Jess led her over to the setup and got down on one knee!!! After weeping behind my camera at these cuties, we celebrated with a champagne pop (which Jess got too excited for and popped prematurely LOL). After soaking in the moment, we headed over to Whytecliff Park to catch some sunset photos. We adventured on the cliff sides and it was the first day it finally felt like summer. It was so stinkin’ beautiful and perfect. You can truly feel how deeply they love each other while being in their presence – my heart is so full.
